Second Phase Of Countrywide Unlocking Begins From Today


New Delhi: After the end of Unlock 1, India is all set for the second phase of unlocking from today with several restrictions. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued new guidelines for Unlock 2 which will come in force from 1st July and will continue till 31st July.

However, Unlock 2 is similar to Unlock 1 with no major changes.

The coronavirus-induced-lockdown will, however, be strictly implemented in the containment zones till July 31.

Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 tally climbed to 5,85,493, including 2,20,114 active cases, 3,47,979 cured/discharged/migrated and 17,400 deaths. The nationwide toll rose to 18,653 new cases with 507 new fatalities being reported in 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
