New Delhi: The BSF is on high alert after Pakistani drone was spotted over Punjab village. The authorities have ordered an investigation into the matter.
The reports said the Indian security forces went on high alert after a suspected Pakistani drone was sighted near the Punjab border flying near a check post on the Hussainiwala in Ferozepur.
Villagers had captured the video of the drone on their mobiles. The first sighting of the drone was reported in Hazarasingh Wala village at 7.20 pm and later in Tendiwala village at 10.10 pm.
Earlier, the sighting of a Pakistani drone was observed thrice in the same area on Monday night.
The BSF, the Punjab Police along with other intelligence agencies, conducted search operations to find the drone. Pakistan has been accused of sending cache of drugs and ammunitions via drones in Punjab.
Two heavy-lifting Chinese drones were recovered from across the border by Punjab government and they were used by Pakistan to drop AK-47 rifles, counterfeit currency and narcotics.
