Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash on Thursday said that schools across Odisha might reopen in January.
Talking to the media persons, the Minister said “We will first give priority to reopen classes for X and XII standard students. In the event schools reopen in January, except for festival holidays, classes will continue on all other holidays.”
The Minister further stated that in the event a decision on reopening schools in January is arrived at, priority will be given to conducting classes for Class X and XII standards so as to facilitate students appearing the board examinations next year.
Earlier in the day, State Education Secretary Saswat Mishra had announced plans for reopening colleges and universities in the New Year.
