Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced the renovation of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack with an outlay of Rs 3500 cr.
The deadline is January 1, 2024, for the inauguration of the health facility, Patnaik said. The renovation of the hospital will be done in five phases. The complete renovation will be done in 175 acres of land.
The number of beds will be increased to 5000 from 3500. As many as 1280 quarters will be constructed while the facility will also be created to accommodate 2200 students.
The renovation will be carried out under 5T programme of Odisha government and world-class treatment will be made available for the people of Odisha.
The renovation will be completed in three years. A group of eminent doctors have been appointed to advise on the transformation of the hospital into a world-class healthcare centre of excellence.
