New Delhi: The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing on Ayodhya case till January 10. A fresh bench will hear the matter on Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case.
According to reports, last year in December a Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, had decided to fix the date of hearing before the appropriate bench.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the centre wants the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit to be heard on a day to day basis in the court.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an interview recently, had said that the government will consider bringing the ordinance on Ram temple construction only after the judicial process relating to the case was over.
It may be recalled that on November 12 the apex court bench headed by CJI Ranjan Gogoi had rejected a plea seeking an early hearing to Ayodhya case.
