Samantarapur Sweet Stall Owner Murder Case: Another Accused Held

Bhubaneswar: Ligaraj police have arrested one more accused involved in the brutal murder of a sweet stall owner of Samantarapur on October 4, 2020.

The arrested accused has been identified as Biswajit Bastia of Jagatsinghpur.

With this, a total of 10 persons have been apprehended till date.

Notably, on October 4, the assailants had chased and brutally hacked sweet stall owner, Jambu Sahu to death in the middle of the road over suspected business rivalry. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed near the spot.

On October 8, prime accused Raja Behera had surrendered.

A day later his parents Dillip and Sasmita Behera, grandfather Balaram Behera of Dolabedi Sahi, Shishupalgarh under Dhauli PS, Biswajit Barik of Jarakani under Delanga PS in Puri and Rasmi Ranjan Barik of Bhimatangi near Lingaraj station under Airfield PS were arrested.
