New Delhi: Indian rupee has fallen to lowest level in 2019 on Tuesday. The Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) Sensex has slumped as much over 500 points.
The reports said the rupee fell as much as 1.27% against the US dollar to 72.30 compared to Friday’s closing of 71.41. The reports said there is no progress in the US-China trade talks. The situation has impacted on the phenomenon, it said.
According to data released by the statistics department on Friday, India’s economy grew at 5%, the slowest growth since 2013, in the April-June quarter.
The news reports on Monday said China and US officials are struggling to agree to a schedule for a round of trade negotiations that were expected this month.
