Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has spent Rs 399.64 cr for publication of advertisements in the past eight years, State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Minister Raghunandan Das told Odisha Assembly on Thursday.
The I&PR Minister said that the State government has incurred an expenditure of Rs 399,64,14,781 towards the publication of advertisements from 2013-14 to 18th February this year.
Das was replying to a query by BJP MLA from Rengali Nauri Nayak on the matter. The Minister said in 2018-19 highest amount of Rs 1,21,14,63,434 was spent towards the publication of advertisements.
The Minister shared the year-wise data on publication of advertisements as follows: Rs 33,28,05,024 in 2013-14, Rs 21,52,55,165 in 2014-15, Rs 31,87,62,979 in 2015-16, Rs 40,47,61,132 in 2016-17, Rs 61,87,67,351 in 2017-18, Rs 1,21,14,63,434 in 2018-19, Rs 56,50,29,706 in 2019-20 and Rs 32,95,69,990 in 2020-21 (up to Feb 18,2021).
