Sundergarh: In a queer incident, a woman selling papads (snacks) was entangled with a GST fraud of Rs 13 lakh. She is Jhunu Pradhan of Balughat in Rourkela.
The woman has been summoned by the concerned officials thrice in this connection. Sources said Jhunu is a victim as a fraudulent company has implicated her by forging documents.
It has come to the fore that Trinetra Traders has done business worth Rs 74 lakh and all the transactions have been done in the name of Jhunu who has nothing to do with the company.
Jhunu said a person had taken away his documents to provide her loan, but returned the same by saying that he could not do so. After one year, she got the notice in this connection, she said.
