Road Safety World Series: India Legends beat West Indies Legends By 12 Runs

Raipur: India Legends advanced to the final of the Road Safety World Series as they defeated West Indies Legends by 12 runs in the first semifinal at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday.

After put to bat first, India Legends were 218/3 at the end of 20 overs.

India Legends captain Sachin Tendulkar showcased batting masterclass all over again and smashed 42-ball 65 against West Indies Legends to bring up his 2nd consecutive fifty in the ongoing World Safety World Series on Wednesday.

47-year-old Sachin Tendulkar smashed six fours and 3 sixes during his whirlwind knock which also included a very good looking pull shot.

After Sachin Tendulkar’s departure in the 15 over, hard-hitting batsmen Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan took India Legends’ total to 218/ 3 in 20 overs. The total is the highest in the history of the tournament.

Yuvraj Singh smashed 6 sixes to return unbeaten on 49 off 20, while Pathan changed as many as four bats to score 37 not out off 20 balls.
