Bhubaneswar: Despite strict COVID restrictions, a residential school in the State Capital was found running offline classes on its premises.
The matter came to light after the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) authorities raided the school named “Omm Gurukul” in Badagada area here and found flouting the pandemic guidelines issued by the State government.
While the class was dispersed, a fine of Rs 10, 000 was slapped on the concerned authorities.
Sources said the residential school was providing food and accommodation facilities to more than 30 students.
Notably, the Odisha government had ordered the closure of all the educational institutions in the State from April 19.
