Reopening Of Schools For Classes I-VIII Students After Through Consultations: Odisha SME Minister


Bhubaneswar: Odisha School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Sunday said that a decision on reopening of the schools for Classes I-VIII will be taken by his department as per the guidelines of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC).

The School and Mass Education department will take a decision on reopening of the schools for students of Classes I to VIII after a making thorough review of the situation and consultations, Minister Dash said.

“Schools were closed for a very long period due to COVID-19 pandemic and the students are now very much eager to go schools and attend classes,” the Minister said, and added that the SRC has rightly taken the decision in favour of reopening of the schools.

The S&ME Minister further said the classes X and XII students are already attending school and now it has been decided to resume classroom studies for Class IX students from August 16.
