Renowned Litterateur Mangalu Charan Biswal Dies, CM Naveen Expresses Grief
Sambalpur: Renowned litterateur, teacher, writer, poet, and noted playwright Mangalu Charan Biswal passed away due to age-related alignments on Tuesday. He was 87.
Reportedly, Biswal breathed his last at his residence in Baradunguri village under Rengali block of Sambalpur district late last night.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, expressed condolences on the sad demise of Biswal.

Biswal has written more than 100 Sambalpuri plays that include ‘Bhukha’ which was later made into a movie of the same name. He has long been involved with All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan in Cuttack and Sambalpur. Many of his writings are still in school textbooks.
