Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and government functionaries have been repeatedly appealing the people to follow the Covid protocols laid down by the government.
In their reaction, the varsity authorities stated all the protocols were put in place initially, but the students failed to adhere to the guideline during subsequent hours.
When contacted, DCP, Cuttack, Prateek Singh said the police will take action and issue a show-cause notice to the varsity.
The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today issued a notice to the Ravenshaw University over violation of COVID-19 norms on the premises of the educational institution at a function on December 22 evening.
The civic body asked the varsity as to why action shouldn’t be taken against it for gross violation of the guidelines during the closing ceremony of the annual sports meet.
