Ranji Trophy Final: Jaiswal Half-Century Powers Mumbai

Mumbai: A superb 78 from opener Yashasvi Jaiswal helped Mumbai end Day 1 of the 2022 Ranji Trophy final with their scorecard reading 248/5.

Mumbai won the toss and decided to bat first. And, their openers, Prithvi Shaw (47) and Jaiswal laid the foundation at the top of the order with a superb 87-run stand.

Apart from Jaiswal and Shaw, Sarfaraz Khan, who is the leading run getter in the tournament, contributed a patient 40* off 125 deliveries.

Giving him company out in the middle is Shams Mulani (12*). For Madhya Pradesh, Anubhav Agarwal and Saransh Jain scalped 2 wickets each, while Kumar Kartikeya picked up a wicket.
