Ramdev releases research paper on coronavirus Ayurvedic medicine

New Delhi: The founder of Patanjali, Yoga Guru Ramdev, has released the first scientific research paper on the evidence-based medicine for coronavirus  by his organization.

Union Health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari were also present at the event.

The medicine for coronavirus is named as Coronil. Patanjali in June last year has claimed that its Ayurvedic medicine can cure coronavirus infection.

Swami Ramdev, at the event, said, Coronil has benefited lakhs of people during the pandemic. The Yoga Guru had also said that the medicine could provide ‘100 per cent recovery rate within 3-7 days’.

In June 2020, Patanjali Ayurved had launched ‘Coronil and Swasari’, which the company claimed was the first Ayurvedic cure for COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus or SARS-CoV-2 virus.

While launching the medicine, Ramdev also released the research paper containing all scientific protocol that was followed for trials of Coronil. He said that nine of these research papers have been published in international journals.
