Ramdev expresses displeasure as saints not awarded Bharat Ratna

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Renowned Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Sunday expressed displeasure for ‘neglecting’ different persons for the coveted Bharat Ratna award.

It is unfortunate that eminent hermits and seers such as Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati or Swami Vivekananda, Shivakumara Swami Ji were left out of the selection committee of the awards.

The Patanjali cofounder asked if the contribution of Dayananda or Swami Vivekananda is less than any politician or artist?

The Yoga guru said not a single hermit or saint has been awarded Bharat Ratna till date.

Mother Teresa was given the award since she is Christian, he said. He asked if it is a sin to be born a Hindu in this country.
