Jaipur: The crisis regarding the Rajasthan Political scenario deepened as Congress on Tuesday sacked Sachin Pilot as Rajasthan deputy chief minister and removed him as Congress’ state unit president.

Pilot’s two loyalists Rajasthan Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh and  Ramesh Meena (Food and Civil Supplies Minister in Rajasthan government) have also been dropped from the Cabinet. Govind Singh Dotasra made Congress state president and will replace Pilot. Hem Singh Shekhawat made Sewa Dal state president.

Addressing media after the CLP meeting, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala accused the BJP of misleading Sachin Pilot and other Congress leaders.

The Congress had warned of action against all those who skipped the meeting today.

Pilot had openly revolted against Gehlot after the special operations group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police, probing the alleged case of bribing of MLAs to topple the Congress government in the state, sent a notice to him for appearing before it. Pilot’s supporters share of the view that the notice is to humiliate their leader.
