Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here has predicted rain and thundershower across the state for two days from today.
Some places in the districts including, Sundergarh, Bargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada districts are likely to experience rainfall.
Duty officer of the meteorological centre, RK Nayak said western parts of Odisha like Sundergarh, Bargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Nuapada are likely to receive rainfall due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over Bihar and the neighbourhood, which now lies over north Chhattisgarh.
Following rains, the temperature is likely to come down while there would be dense fogs in the next morning, informed the official. The weatherman has also predicted moderate to dense fog at one or two places in Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Khurda districts in the next 24 hours.
