Rainfall In These Odisha Districts


Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) today predicted intense rainfall for several parts of Odisha from February 24.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued heavy rainfall alert for several parts of Odisha, especially coastal districts. As per the latest forecast, heavy rainfall is likely to occur in several parts of Puri, Cuttack, Khurda, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur districts on February 25.


light to moderate rain or thundershower activity will be witnessed at several places in north interior Odisha and a few places of north coastal Odisha including Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh between February 24 and 25.

Yellow warning has been issued for Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Angul and Dhenkanal (February 24 to February 25).

Similarly, coastal Odisha, many places over the north interior Odisha and at a few places over the districts of south interior Odisha will experience rainfall between Feb 25 and 26.
