More rain forecast in next 24 hours for southern parts of Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast monsoon is likely to advance to southern districts of the state in the next 24 hours.
For Wednesday, the forecast said rain or thunder showers may occur at many places in both southern and northern parts of the state. Besides, there are chances of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal and Ganjam districts and also some portions of the adjoining districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
Notably, Daringbadi, Hemgiri and Panposh, Bijepur, and Jaipatna in Kalahandi have recorded rainfall of 5 cm in the last day.
