Bhubaneswar: Eminent sculptor and member of Rajya Sabha, Padmabhushan Raghunath Mohapatra’s family lost three of its members within a span of 12 days.
While eminent sculptor passed away on May 9, his youngest son Prashant Mohapatra, a former Ranji player, succumbed to coronavirus yesterday.
Today, the sculptor’s eldest son Jashobanta Mohapatra, who was shifted to the SUM Covid Hospital from AIIMS yesterday in a critical state, passed away today inspite of all efforts of the medical team. He was 52.
Raghunath and his two sons, Prashant and Jashobant, were admitted to AIIMS here for COVID-19 treatment on April 22.
