Bhubaneswar: Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan has announced that the much-anticipated repair work on the Ratna Bhandar of the Puri Srimandir will commence shortly and is expected to be completed by January 31, 2025. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will oversee the restoration efforts.
The Ratna Bhandar, a treasure trove within the revered Jagannath Temple, has been in need of repairs for some time.
The ASI’s involvement ensures that the work will be carried out with the utmost care and adherence to historical preservation standards.
Minister Harichandan emphasized the importance of the Ratna Bhandar, not only as a repository of invaluable artifacts but also as a symbol of the temple’s rich heritage. He assured that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety and security of the treasures during the repair process.
