Puri-New Delhi Purusottam Express remains cancelled, few passenger trains resume


Puri: The Puri-New Delhi Purusottam Express that was scheduled to leave from Puri on Thursday has been cancelled, officials said.

According to official sources, the 12801 Puri-New Delhi Purusottam Express was cancelled following the cancellation of connecting incoming train scheduled to leave New Delhi on May 7.

Purushottam Express will, however, run from tomorrow, officials added.

Officials said some passenger trains which were cancelled in view of cyclone Fani have resumed today in Khurda Road-Puri Section.

The trains are- Kharagpur-Jajpur-Keonjhar road passenger, Kharagpur-Bhadrak, Balasore-Bhadrak, Howrah-Bhadrak, Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar MEMU , Cuttack-Pallasa, Cuttack-Ichapuram MEMU , Angul-Puri MEMU , Bhubaneswar-Berhampur MEMU , Bhubaneswar-Pallasa MEMU and Cuttack-Vishakhapatnam passenger.

Earlier, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) cancelled over 100 trains in view the near super cyclone Fani.
