Public Entry Banned In BMC Office Amid Spike In Covid Cases

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has banned the entry of public into its office as a precautionary measure amid a steady rise in the coronavirus cases.

This was informed by the MC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary.

“Social distancing and wearing of masks will be enforced more strictly from today in the city,” said BMC Commissioner.

Earlier, on Monday, the BMC had issued an order for private hospitals to maintain database of employees residing in slum areas in the capital city region.

The BMC had said that the hospital staff residing in slum areas will be in 14 days shift and accommodations will be arranged by the hospital authorities.
