Jajpur: Property worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out in Kaimatia village under Bairi police station in Jajpur district.
According to reports, a fire broke out at the house of one Baban Sahoo in the village. The fire further spread to nearby rooms.
On being informed, the fire brigade officials reached the spot and doused the flames.
Though the exact cause behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that a short circuit might be the reason behind the mishap.
