Presidential Election: Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha to file nomination today

New Delhi: Opposition presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha will file his nomination for the upcoming Presidential elections on June 27 at 11:30 am.

Former union minister Sinha has been chosen as the consensus candidate from the Joint Opposition for the upcoming Presidential elections which will take place on July 18, 2022.

Sinha has served the nation in various capacities as an able administrator, accomplished parliamentarian and acclaimed Union Minister of Finance and External Affairs.

While NDA nominee Droupadi Murmu and common opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha are the main contestants, at least 30 others have so far filed their nomination papers. This includes a slum dweller from Mumbai, a namesake of RJD founder Lalu Prasad Yadav, a social activist from Tamil Nadu and a professor from Delhi.

The Presidential elections will take place on July 18 and the counting of votes will take place on July 21.
