Pregnant Woman Gang-raped At Andhra Rly Station; Minor Among Three Held

Bapatla: Police here have arrested three persons for allegedly raping a pregnant woman at Repalle Railway station here.

According to reports, the woman, along with her husband and children, were sleeping on the railway station’s platform. Meanwhile, three accused approached them, beat up the husband. They  took the pregnant woman to the bushes nearby and gang-raped her.

Chief Minister YS Jagan and Vasireddy Padma, Chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission, who inquired about the event on Sunday, instructed the police to take strong action against the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, the victim was shifted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ongole for treatment.
