Pratap Sarangi urges Naveen to establish helpline for Odias stranded in other states
New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Pratap Sarangi has urged Odisha Chief Minister to establish a helpline for the stranded Odia people in other states in view of nationwide lockdown.
Sarangi, in a letter to CM Naveen Patnaik, has requested to set up communication between the Chief Secretaries of the States where the people of Odisha are stranded and going without food for days.
The Union Minister also lauded Odisha CM’s efforts to tackle the deadly COVID-19.
“As the current lockdown is going to continue for three weeks, the stranded people who are mostly students, trainees, pilgrims, workers, and businessmen have become panicky and need immediate help and assistance to return to their homes,” the minister Sarangi said.
