Prabhas starrer Saaho’s Independence Day release postponed, details inside

Hyderabad: The release date of one of the most anticipated films, Saaho, starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor as the leads has been postponed to August 30.

Earlier, the makers of Saaho had announced that the film will release worldwide on August 15 in three languages. However, the latest reports revealed that the film’s release has been postponed by 15 days, much to the disappointment of the fans.

Reportedly, two Telugu movies, namely Ranarangam starring Sharwanand and Adivi Sesh’s Evaru are scheduled to be released on August 15, 2019 prompting the Saaho makers to postpone the release.

Two more Bollywood movies namely Mission Mangal and Batla House will also be releasing on the same date which might be another reason for Saaho’s release date to be postponed.

Calculating these risks, the makers have finalised August 30 as the new release date as it gives the film a breathing space in theatres.

Saaho, produced by UV Creations, is said to be made on a lavish budget of nearly Rs 300 crore. Recently, it was reported that the makers had shelled out a whopping Rs 70 crore for an 8-minute fight sequence which was shot in and around Abu Dhabi.

Saaho also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Arun Vijay, Prakash Belavadi, Evelyn Sharma, Chunky Pandey and Mahesh Manjrekar. The movie has been shot in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi simultaneously.
