New Delhi: Several parts of Delhi and nearby areas witnessed power blackouts due to heavy rain accompanied by strong winds early this morning. The bad weather also affected flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport with several airlines requesting passengers to check on their flight status before heading to the airport.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said thundershower with moderate rainfall will continue over Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
Thundershower with moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 60-90 Km/h would continue to occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR ( Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram,

Strong winds and heavy rain uprooted trees in parts of Delhi which resulted in roads getting blocked.
