Bhubaneswar: Police have reportedly picked up Jagabandhu Chand, the husband of accused Archana Nag in connection with the extortion and blackmailing case.Police Arrested Lady Blackmailer Archana Nag’s Husband
Chand was picked up from his Satya Vihar residence in Bhubaneswar today morning. He is said to be the mastermind behind the crime.
Notably, kingpin Archana was arrested on October 7 on charges of honey-trapping bigwigs and extorting money from them. With her bail being rejected by the Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court in Bhubaneswar on October 17, she is presently cooling her heels in Jharpada jail in Bhubaneswar.
It is learnt that Jaganadhu has been arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged at Khandagiri police station by a female victim on October 2. She mentioned in her complaint that it was Jagabandhu and his aide Khageswar Patra who trapped her. She also mentioned it that Archana, Jagabandhu and Khageswar earned crores of rupees by using her.
His arrest came after the police had several clues proving his involvement in the high-profile honey trap racket.
