PM Modi, President Kovind, Vice-President Naidu and others mourn demise of track legend Milkha Singh

New Delhi: Indian sprinter Milkha Singh passed away at the age of 91 from Covid-related complications. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the demise of sprint legend.

President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, on Saturday, condoled the demise of the sporting icon.

Mourning his death, the President said the story of Milkha Singh’s struggles and strength of character will continue to inspire generations of Indians.

Singh passed away at 11.30 pm on Friday night at the age of 91. He had tested positive for COVID-19 in May this year. He is survived by one son and three daughters. His son Jeev Milkha Singh is also a renowned Golfer.
