PM Modi Expresses Grief At Loss Of Lives In Rajasthan Road Accident


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in a road accident in kota, Rajasthan.

The Prime Minister has also approved an ex-gratia from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the victims.

The Prime Minister’s Office tweeted;

“राजस्थान के कोटा में हुआ हादसा अत्यंत पीड़ादायक है। इसमें जिन लोगों को अपनी जान गंवानी पड़ी है, उनके परिजनों के प्रति मैं अपनी संवेदना प्रकट करता हूं। ईश्वर उन्हें इस अपार दुख को सहने की शक्ति प्रदान करे: PM”

“Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in a tragic accident in Kota. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM”



Nine people, including the groom, were killed in a road accident in Rajasthan hours before the wedding in Madhya Pradesh.

The occupants of the car were going to Ujjain when their driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell into a river in Rajasthan’s Kota district, a senior police officer said.

The marriage party was travelling from Chauth Ka Barwada village in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
