Bhubaneswar: Mystery shrouded the death of a Plus III first-year girl student who was found hanging from a fan inside her hostel room of Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College (BJB) here on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ruchika Mohanty.
Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the victim might have committed suicide over some reason.
On getting information, police reached the spot and launched a probe in this regard.
Further investigation is underway in this connection.
