Bhubaneswar: A large number of students again staged protest at Lower PMG Square in Bhubaneswar seeking cancellation of the Plus II examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).

Reportedly, several students staged an agitation here as no announcement has been made so far regarding the cancellation of Plus II exam in the State. Following this, the students have threatened to gherao Naveen Niwas, official residence of Odisha Chief Minister if necessary steps are not taken.

Following the protest, police tried to pacify the students. However, as the students were antipathetic, the cops picked them up from the spot. Two members of the group were also taken into preventive custody.

It is pertinent to mention that earlier, the Odisha government had announced to cancel the matriculation examination after scores of students marched to Naveen Niwas with their demand to cancel the exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).
