Plus-II & Plus-III Colleges To Have Separate Campus: Odisha Education Min
Bhubaneswar: With an aim to bring transparency in the educational sector, the Odisha government has decided to split Plus-II and Plus-III colleges running in one campus across the state.
As per the new rule, Plus-II and Plus-III colleges functioning in conjunction will now be completely separated as two different colleges.
This decision has been taken at a meeting convened jointly by the Higher Education department and the School & Mass Education (S&ME) department today in Bhubaneswar.
Soon after the meeting, Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo informed that special attention will be paid to infrastructure of the college buildings and classes will be held in the same campus until the completion of the process.
In case the Plus-II colleges face a shortage of teaching staff, teachers of Plus-III will take their classes. When the vacancies will be filled the senior lecturers will go back to their original posts, Sahoo further added.
As per reports, the recruitment process for Plus-II colleges would be done in phased manner and will be completed in next 3-4 years.
Among others State S&ME Minister Samir Dash was also present at the meeting.
