Pipili: BJD candidates Rudrapratap Maharathy is leading by 1406 votes against his two close rivals- BJP’s Ashrit Patnaik and Congress’ Biswakesan Harichandan Mohapatra after the counting of votes in round-1 of Pipili Bypoll.
As per reports, the BJD candidate has got 4055 votes while BJP and Congress candidates have got 2649 and 766 votes after the end of counting in round 1, respectively
As per reports:
- BJP – 2649 votes
- BJD – 4055 votes
- Congress – 766 votes
The high-voltage by-election to the Assembly Constituency in Odisha’s Puri district was was held on September 30. A voter turnout of 78 per cent was recorded at 348 booths in the by-election, official sources said.
