Pilotless training aircraft Lakshya crashes into field in Balasore


Balasore: A pilotless training aircraft with Lakshya labelled on it crashed into a corn field in the Chandamani village in Balasore today. While people gathered in large numbers to see the craft, local police is awaiting CRPF team to further probe into the incident.

The Indian Air Force plane crashed into the field near Baliapal. Some sources in Chandipur said it is a training aircraft that was being used for jawans there but lost control and fell into the fields today morning.

The aircraft nose has buried deep into the field and CRPF team is awaited to further find details, said police sources. They have also confirmed that there has been no damages to life or property as per initial information.

DRDO is also investigating the incident and finding the reasons behind the crash.
