Khurda: Police have arrested a person for allegedly looting Rs 5.5 lakh from a petrol pump employee in Khurda district last month.
The arrestee has been identified as Suleman Saha of Khajuripada under Nirakarpur police station limits.
According to available information, on April 15 the accused along with his eight associates looted Rs 5.5lakh from a petrol pump staff at Malaguni Bridge after threatening them with a sword and gun.
Following this, the petrol pump staff had lodged a complaint at the local police station.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and managed to arrest the main accused in this connection. However, his associates are yet to be nabbed.
