New Delhi: State-run oil marketing companies on Tuesday lowered the retail prices of petrol by 6 paise across major cities of the country. Diesel prices, on the other hand, kept unchanged for the eighth successive day across the country.
As per data from Indian Oil Corporation website, in Delhi, petrol prices fell to Rs 74.63 a litre as against Rs 74.69 per litre on Monday while diesel is retailing at Rs 66.04 a litre, no change in price compared with yesterday’s price.
In Kolkata, citizens have to pay Rs 77.29 for a litre of petrol after a 6 paise drop from Monday’s rate. Diesel prices were constant at Rs 68.45 per litre. Similarly, in Mumbai, the retail prices of petrol and diesel are Rs 80.29 a litre (6 paise less) and Rs 69.27 (unchanged) per litre, respectively. In Chennai, the retail price of petrol declined by 7 paise at Rs 77.58 per litre today. There is no change in diesel price against Monday’s price.
