Malkangiri: Petrol price climbed to Rs 91.42/ litre in Odisha’s Malkangiri district. Similarly, diesel price was spotted to be Rs 87.56/ litre here.
On the other hand, the petrol price stood at Rs 86.36/ litre and diesel price remained at Rd 82.66/ litre in state capital Bhubaneswar.
Petrol and diesel prices were recorded to be Rs 87.38/ litre and Rs 83.65/ litre respectively in Rourkela.
The sharp rise in petrol and diesel prices came after the oil marketing companies decided to break the momentary pause in the wake of a sudden spike in the global oil prices.
In Delhi, the price of petrol remained at Rs 85.70 per litre and diesel at Rs 75.88 per litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest fuel retailer. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, the current petrol and diesel prices were Rs 92.28 per litre and Rs 82.66 per litre respectively.
Oil marketing companies – Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum align the prices of domestic fuel with global benchmarks, by taking into account any changes in the foreign exchange rates.
