New Delhi: Fuel prices in India continued to rise on the weekend as prices were hiked for 7th straight day on Saturday.
After today price revision, while petrol became 59-61 paise costlier, diesel prices went up by 50-60 paise in major cities across the country.
As per data from Indian Oil Corporation website, petrol price in Mumbai crossed Rs 82-mark and it was retailing at Rs 83.10 per litre. Diesel price in the economic capital crossed Rs 72-mark and it was retailing at Rs 72.03 per litre. Similarly, in Kolkata, petrol is retailing at Rs 77.06 a litre, up 57 paise from yesterday’s rate of Rs 76.48 a litre. A litre of diesel will now cost Rs 69.23, up 53 paise from Friday’s rate of Rs 68.70.
In Noida, petrol price cross Rs 77 mark and it was retailing at Rs 77.04 per litre, up 46 paise from yesterday’s price of Rs 78.59. Diesel in the city became costlier by 44 paise and was retailing at Rs 67.04 per litre as against Rs 66.60 on Friday. In Gurugram, while petrol today was retailing at Rs 74.21 per litre, diesel was priced at Rs 66.34 a litre.
Similarly, in Chennai petrol price went up by 53 paise and it was retailing at Rs 78.99 per litre. Diesel in the city became costlier by 50 paise and it was retailing at Rs 71.64 per litre. In Bengaluru, petrol price was hiked to Rs 77.59, while diesel was retailing higher at Rs 69.78 per litre.
