Bhubaneswar: People in Odisha, who intend to go abroad, can now get their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine after 28 days and before 84 days, informed Additional Chief Secretary (Health) PK Mohapatra.
Mohapatra through a letter to all Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and CDM & PHOs has informed that people, who need to undertake international travel for education, job or as part of the Indian contingent for Tokyo Olympic Games can get their second dose before 84 days.
” lt has been decided at Ministry level that the dispensation of providing 2nd dose vaccination before the mandatory period of 84 days after 1st dose of COVISHIELD may be extended to all such individuals, said Mohapatra.
ln such cases, the concerned individual shall have to produce a copy of travel documents such as visa or confirmed tickets, along with any such other documents that may justify the urgency for undertaking the travel,” he added.
