Patnagarh Block Senior Journalist Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: A senior journalist of Patnagarh block in Bolangir district and President of Patnagarh Journalists’ Association, Kailash Chandra Sahu, passed away at around 5 AM today.

According to reports, Sahu was admitted to Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital after he tested positive for COVID-19. After recovering from the infection, he had returned home. However, he breathed his last this morning.

Shau after working for years in Dharitri had moved to Pragativadi and had retired a few days ago.

Following his demise, Pragativadi publisher Siba Bishwal, Kalahandi Zone DGM Kambupani Mishra, Bolangir Progressive District Representative Purnachandra Panda, Patnagarh Journalists Association Sadashiv Saraf, Prahlad Padhi, Banshidhar Seth, Biswas Pattanayak paid their last respect.

Bolangir MP Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo, former minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Patnagarh sub-district commissioner Somnath Pradhan, District Journalists’ Union President Harinarayan Pujari, Editor Balaram Mishra, senior journalist Satyanarayana Behera, Gopbandhu and Satyasundhari, Anand Sahu, district president of IFWL, Deepak Samajdar, president of OUJ, Pradeep Mishra, editor, Prashant Mohanty, president of OUJ, and Arun Mishra, president of Balangir Press Club, expressed their deepest condolences to his family.
