Paralympics: Paddler Bhavina Patel wins, enters gold-medal match

Tokyo: Paddler Bhavina Patel continued her giant-killing march at the Tokyo Paralympics, as she ousted Chia’s world No. 3 Zhang Miao to enter the gold-medal match of women’s singles Class 4 event.

The Indian paddler enters a historic women’s singles Class 4 FINAL with a 7-11, 11-7, 11-4, 9-11, 11-8 victory over China’s Zhang Miao.

The Indian will take on another Chinese in the final, world No. 1 Zhou Ying, for top spot on the podium tomorrow (Aug 29) at 7:15 am IST.

Bhavinaben Patel created history on Friday by becoming the first Indian to enter the semifinals of the Paralympic Games Table Tennis competition and confirm a medal for India.
