Paradip murder: Police to seize firearms of Mahima and Charchit


Cuttack: A day after cancelling the firearms license of industrialist Mahima Mishra and son Charchit, Commissionerate Police has today said it will seize the arms and weapons of the duo. Mahima has been accused in the murder case of Seaways Shipping Logistics Limited (SSLL) Mahendra Swain on October 26 in Paradip.

Police DG KB Singh today said that the firearms of the Mishra father and son duo will be seized by police if the weapons are not deposited with police. As per police sources, they are to deposit the weapons and bullets at Lal Bag police station failing which Mahima’s house may be raided.

IG Central range Soumendra Priyadarsi informed that the complete inquiry process is being supervised by SP Jagatsinghpur, Jay Narayan Pankaj who along with his team is inspecting the OSL helicopter in Bhubaneswar Airport.

On Wednesday, police had cancelled the firearms license of Mahima and his younger son Charchit.
