Bhubaneswar: Comedian Papu Pom Pom alias Tatwa Prakash Satpathy has again drawn attention for the wrong reasons after a video of him mimicking internet sensation Ranu Mandal went viral over social media platforms.
In the video that was highly criticised by netizens, Papu is seen donning the exact attire of Ranu and singing before a microphone. Another person is also spotted standing near Papu presumably copying Himesh Reshammiya.
Papu was seen lip-syncing in the video and this has enraged Ranu’s fans in Odisha.
Ranu Mandal, who took the social media by storm with her singing talent, will be making her singing debut in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya’s upcoming movie Happy Hardy and Heer. Ranu recorded the song titled Teri Meri Kahani in the film.
Ranu hailing from Krishnanagar of West Bengal earned her living by singing at the railway station. During this, a video of her singing Lata Mangeshkar’s famous song ‘Pyaar Ka Nagmaa’ went viral on social media.
After the video went viral, she became an Internet sensation overnight.
Notably, Papu was recently marred with controversies regarding the misogynist poster of his upcoming movie ‘Mr Kanheiya’ and his rift with Odisha’s ace sprinter Dutee Chand.
