Palm Springs International Film Festival: Jitendra Mishra’s ‘The Last Color’ up for premiere


Bhubaneswar: Odisha-born filmmaker, Jitendra Mishra’s The Last Color, will have its world premiere at the prestigious 30th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival 2019.

‘The Last Color’ directed by Celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna, starring veteran actress Neena Gupta is the story of Chhoti  (Aqsa Siddiqui), a nine-year-old flower seller and tightrope walker. Choti befriends Noor (Neena Gupta), a 70-year-old widow living a life of complete abstinence.

The film is one of four to debut at Palm Springs.

The Palm Springs International Film Festival will have special ‘Focus on India’ in its 30th edition next year. Six films will be screened under the prominent section.

These include the Hindi films Manmarziyaan (2018), Namdev Bhau In Search of Silence and Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota. A Bengali film Ek Je Chhilo Raja (2018) and an Urdu language film Hamid will also be featured at the event.
