Jammu: Pakistan has again violated ceasefire along LoC in Rajouri in J&K on Saturday by resorting to mortar shelling, according to defence sources.
The defence spokesperson said firing from across the border started in Nowshera sector at around 6.30 am. The Indian Army effectively retaliated by guarding the border, the official added.
The exchange of fire between the two sides was on when the last reports were received. There was no immediate report of any casualty in the Pakistani firing, the spokesman said.
Two army personnel and a 10-day old baby were killed and several civilians injured in heavy Pakistani shelling in Poonch and Rajouri last month, reports said.
